Today, I like the rain. It's colder than it was in the past few weeks. I'll sit on the sofa, watching Sigur Rós' Heima movie, reading and drinking a cup of tea.
Last week, Veronika and I went to an outdoor pool called Krapfenwaldlbad. Situated on a hill, the view over all of Vienna is spectacular. The main building with it's changing rooms is pretty old and really beautiful. And look at this fantastic tabletop soccer!
The morning light makes everything so beautiful sometimes. Enjoy your weekend!
I went on a trip to Denmark today! Actually, I didn't leave this town - but it was great anyway! We went to a new small deli called Skæn which has opened recently. The salmon platter we had was a small work of art. And it was so fantastic and very delicious that I want to come back very, very soon. This is a huge recommendation!
I have never lived in an old building, but I think it could be quite nice. Sometimes when I walk past an open entry door, I step inside. And sometimes I'm overwhelmed by beautiful patios, staircases or aesthetical paving tiles.
I had a wonderful weekend at home, breathing fresh air after the tunderstorms, watching Garden State and Twin Peaks, cooking, baking, going out for a walk. I got a heart from Stephan - thanks for being my best friend.
I tried to escape the heat: I got out of the city to get some fresh air. I sat inside and paged through old interior magazines and books. I closed the jalousies. It didn't get much better. Today, I'm waiting for the announced thunderstorms. Look at the last photo: I'm glad I flipped over this empty sheep's milk yoghurt cup!
The pictures above were taken in the 7th district of Vienna. Did I already mention that it's hot? It's still almost unbearable. Today, I closed the jalousies and the flat feels really weird. So this week, everybody talks about the heat, no other topic seems to be left.
The city is hot and I'm moving in slow motion. Today, I dared to go to the city center and couldn't stop seeking the shadow. I had a delicious spelt roll from Felzl for lunch.
It's summer! Hot, hot summer. Last weekend was all about farewell and mothers. We said goodbye to Marlene and Michi who are travelling back to Canada right now. And we visited our mothers. I ate good food, pies and cakes. I picked strawberries and raspberries and relaxed in a hammock in the shadow. See the guy in the fifth picture? He's my favorite Austrian actor.
Sandra and Lea received my letters. I'm glad they like my photographs :)
