frida
An early morning post. I couldn't sleep last night. I'm craving for a cup of very good coffee.
The photos were taken on a walk through the Leopoldstadt area last week. See the deer in the last picture that seems to watch this strange cloud?
Coffee now.

The stables at the country palace.
I slept late this Sunday morning. Hope you're having a great weekend!

orangerie
Some more pictures I took at the dreamy country palace last weekend. The facade of the Orangerie is very impressive, it's such a beautiful place.
It got quite windy and cold here in Vienna, it seems like autumn is approaching.
Have a nice weekend!

monster
The mailwoman dropped off a letter with Karin's monster yesterday, thank you so much for this little present!
Have I already told you that I love bread? At present, my favorite sort is a simple rye bread from a wholemeal bakery. Oh yes, and the tomatoes taste perfect this month.

baroque
This country palace is a dream. I discovered party leftovers in the baroque gardens. I'm sure it must be fantastic to have a party there!

greetings from...
... Bergen (from my brother), Göteborg (from Bernd and Leni) and Basel (Basler Leckerli from my dad). I like getting postcards from friends on holiday and I always keep them. Important are not so much the written words. Receiving a postcard is like getting a snapshot out of the past, a little present from far away. I haven't sent a postcard in years, but I think it's time to do it again.
More postcards: Helene's and Christoph's project.

dinner and wine
Last Thursday, I went to the countryside to meet my family. We went to one of my favorite restaurants in the middle of vineyards and had an incredibly delicious dinner and good wine.
In the morning, we all had breakfast together and I took some photos in my parents' garden. It's a very unique place which evokes so many childhood memories.
A new week is always a tiny little start. Have a good one!

elder
Last Sunday, Stephan and I went on a daytrip to Znojmo, a small town in Czech Republic near the border with Austria. The first three photos were taken in the Austrian region Weinviertel. The elderberries are already ripening. Is summer going to end soon?

tumble down
Last Saturday I went out for a walk in the beautiful evening sun. The house in the next to last picture tumbled down a few weeks ago. The flat that appeared behind the broken walls belonged to an old lady. She was staying at the hospital when the building collapsed.
Thanks to everyone who wrote a comment on my last post. I had so much fun reading your words and found a few inspiring blogs I didn't know before.
