pleasant
Here's a proven recipe for a simple afternoon at the seaside: Go to the farmers' market and buy delicious looking pastry. Brew coffee and fill a thermos jug up, grab beach mats and get your friends together. Get out for a walk around Point Pleasant Park and have a picnic.

maple grove
There is another farmers' market in Halifax that is located in the Keith's Brewery. The brewery is one of the oldest in North America – and the beer is really good.
We have beautiful autumn weather here in Austria. I hope you did enjoy your weekend!

night 1 in halifax
I had a wonderful August. I spent three weeks in the Canadian province of Nova Scotia for visiting good, old friends. Spending time with Marlene and Michael was so much fun, and it clearly was over too quickly. There are just a few photos from our first night in Halifax for you today. Can you imagine how much we were talking and laughing – after not seeing each other for a long, long time?

august random
In August, I took some quiet walks through the Vienna woods. I met my family at a beautiful place in Lower Austria and I stayed overnight in my old children's room.
Have a good week!

kinfolk magazine
The other day, my paper copy of Kinfolk Magazine arrived. I couldn't wait for it to come, and finally the act of unwrapping had to be celebrated. Since then, this magazine is always within reach and ready to be opened at a random page. The whole concept behind Kinfolk Magazine convinces me. I like the simplicity of the photos and, at the same time, the details, also the poetry in the written words. The articles remind me of the value of time. Some of them describe the worth of spending some time with oneself. Other authors tell about their love for sharing time with friends and family. And it really doesn't have to be complicated to invite one, two, three or more friends for dinner. While thumbing through Vol. 1, I'm waiting for the new issue to be released.
Last Sunday, I returned from vacation. I spent more than three weeks in the Canadian province of Nova Scotia. I'm excited to show you some photos soon.
