vacation at home

Sometimes it's good to stay at home and getting things done. Things like cutting the lavender on the balcony, decorating the room with flowers bought at the farmers' market or sharpening all coloring pencils. Sometimes it's also nice to have a picnic in the living room, don't you think?

Leni and Bernd married in July. It was a gorgeous wedding and a great party – thank you so much for letting me be part of your day :)

Let me introduce to you two new family members: Meg and Jack. The siblings spent their first weeks in the care of their mother at this wonderful place. Now they are living with Stephan's parents – they are exploring the house and the huge garden, playing around, fighthing, eating, sleeping a lot.

This has been a good day in July. After celebrating Vreni's final degree at a very nice Viennese beisl (a typical Austrian pub with down-home food), I took a walk in the sunshine.

We discovered another very nice café in a quarter in which every street is named after a country. This one was in the Belgian street.

In July, I went to Prague for a few days. We tried to avoid the tourist trails and found some very cozy cafés.

espresso

The Espresso is probably the most Berlinish café in Vienna. If the coffee was better, I'd hang out there more often.
