Hamburg is one of the most beautiful cities I know. We stayed in a beautiful vacation home in Winterhude and enjoyed the silence in this district. On our first walk, we found this little, cozy café. We spent some time there, leafing through newspapers and magazines and had fantastic lunch and fika. The place is so adorable that we came back for breakfast a few days later.

The fall term has just begun, but I'm still in vacation mood. Before I'll post some pictures of our roundtrip, I want to show you where my mum celebrated her birthday a few weeks ago. I love this old farmhouse in the countryside. We had such a beautiful fall weather and had cake and coffee in the farmyard - it was perfect!

hello blog!

I'm back from vacation! I came back late Friday evening and it felt so good to have left Vienna for a few days. We went to Germany and visited Leipzig, where I didn't take many pictures, but I suppose I'll come back there soon. Afterwards, we went to Hamburg, the northernmost state Schleswig-Holstein and Berlin. What a wonderful trip it was! A perfect September vacation. The red balloon in Leipzig reminded me of the movie Enduring Love. More pictures to come.

I was quite overwhelmed when I looked at my blog. Thanks for all your comments and birthday wishes. I'll catch up with your blogs and comments soon, but it takes some time to get back into "routine". I hope you had a great weekend :)
